Who is This Jake Anyway?

Aside from our jaunty name, we are known for our innovative, integrated approach to digital marketing. We are a group of strategists, artists and engineers working together to deliver creative solutions that build business.

Visit Our Studio

Our studio was previously located in the heart of Georgetown, just off the historic C&O Canal. Since being acquired by WHITE64, we have relocated to Tysons Corner, VA. Like our design aesthetic, we prefer modern interiors — clean, bright and functional. Large whiteboards for brainstorming, a dedicated conference area for client meetings and a state-of-the-art video production studio ensure that our team has enough creative space to come up with inspired ideas.

In Memoriam

Joe Shymanski

It is with great sadness that we announce that our dedicated photographer of 20 years and dear friend, Joe Shymanski, passed away on September 3, 2023. A foundation will be started in his honor with more details coming soon.

Joe Shymanski leads the in-house photography operation at the Jake Group where he supports the creative team with crisp, often amusing and always perfectly rendered images. Joe has been making his living behind the camera for nearly 20 years where he specializes in corporate and editorial photography. Joe’s images have been featured in Harper’s, Hamptons Magazine and the Washington Post among other publications. He is a proud graduate of the University of Michigan.

In my own words...
Fun Fact

I once photographed the 14th Dalai Lama of Tibet, Celebrity Chef Spike Mehdelsohn and George W. Bush all in the same month.

Burning Desire

To open a summer camp for kids out in the country.

My Other Life

Most Saturdays and Sundays you can find me at Eastern Market on Capitol Hill exhibiting my crazy collection of original photography.

Weirdest Hobby

Frisbee Golf. There are over 4,000 courses in the world, and I'm on a mission to play as many as possible.

Claim to Fame

I started photographing politically-minded Star Wars Lego Art on a whim, and now my remixes of Stormtroopers as Republicans and Democrats are my biggest sellers. Only in D.C.!
