The Jake Group, a boutique digital agency in Washington, DC, is seeking a Digital Marketing Manager to join our growing team. This position works with the marketing team to help our clients identify, implement and manage effective online marketing strategies. You should have a strong grasp of current marketing tools and be able to lead integrated digital marketing campaigns from concept to execution. Responsibilities

  • Understand our clients’ needs through conversations, research and analytics. Customize digital marketing solutions based on specific needs and opportunities relevant to their business.
  • Plan, execute and manage all web, SEO/SEM, database marketing, email, social media, and display advertising campaigns for our agency and our clients.
  • Utilize strong analytical ability to set-up data tracking mechanisms and evaluate end-to-end customer experience across multiple channels and customer touch points.
  • Measure and report performance of all digital marketing campaigns and assess against goals (ROI and KPIs).
  • Identify analytics trends and insights and optimize campaign spend and performance.
  • Collaborate with internal creative and development teams to create campaign resources, landing pages and other UX optimizations.
  • Identify critical conversion points and drop off points and optimize user funnels.
  • Contribute to our overall digital marketing service offerings through evaluation of emerging technologies, market trends and client needs.
  • Provide thought leadership and perspective for adoption where appropriate.
  • Develop content for various digital marketing materials and campaigns.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree  in marketing, data analytics or a related field.
  • Proven working experience leading digital marketing projects, particularly within an agency. 
  • Proactive and self-motivated, yet customer-focused.
  • Ability to use data, create dashboards, clearly communicate findings, and provide actionable next steps.
  • Strong knowledge of website analytics principles and tools (e.g., Google Analytics).
  • Experience setting up, managing and optimizing online advertising campaigns (e.g., Google Ads).
  • Expertise in SEO best practices–using keyword research tools (e.g., Search Console, Keyword Planner, SEMRush), optimizing copy and landing pages, identifying content opportunities, making use of Google My Business, and tracking performance.
  • Experience creating and managing social media marketing campaigns.
  • ​​Strong interpersonal communication and presentation skills.
  • Ability to manage projects and hit deadlines.
  • Comfortable working as part of a small, busy creative team and willingness to pitch in when and where needed.

Benefits

Pay and benefits commensurate with experience. Work is entirely remote for the time being, though may return to a hybrid model in the future with our main office in Georgetown.
