Jake Group Wins Award for Virtual Conference Web Design
We’re thrilled to announce that the Jake Group was selected as a winner in the Web Marketing Association’s annual WebAwards! Our team took home the “Outstanding Website” prize for our work on AAVMC’s Annual Virtual Conference website. The WebAwards recognize the best website design agencies and we are proud to see the spotlight on this team effort.
Thanks to our wonderful partners at the American Association of Veterinary Medical Colleges (AAVMC). Without them, none of this would be possible. It’s an honor to share this award with AAVMC and to continue to champion the great work they do for the global academic veterinary medical community.
An Award Winning Virtual Conference Website

Elements of the AAVMC Virtual Conference web design included:
- Creating and hosting the virtual conference site.
- Developing registration functionality and log-in functionality for access.
- Emailing attendees prior to the event with their log-in credentials.
- Creating 40 session rooms with embedded video from livestream zoom links, as well as pre-recorded Vimeo links, in addition to live Q&A sessions.
- Designing site navigation so attendees could easily find session rooms and log-in accordingly.
- Including speaker bios and headshots, all organized and in the correct places/rooms.
- Embedding an Event calendar organized by date and content sections.
- Integrating Analytics tracking to help understand key traffic areas and other useful data.
We love the sense of new territory that comes with building out a virtual conference website. We’ve now established expertise and are thrilled to continue to work with AAVMC on their upcoming 2022 conference, which will be a hybrid of virtual and in-person.
