Time for a (Slight) Change:
Jake Rebrands After 13 Years

WASHINGTON DC (December 15, 2015) — Since 2002, companies of all sizes have partnered with The Jake Group to build brands, refine existing identities and develop digital marketing campaigns. So, just in time for the holidays, the creative marketing firm made a rebranding announcement of its own: effective today, The Jake Group will be shortening its name to Jake Group and updating its logo to match.

It’s a simple change, but after 13 years in business, the company will drop the “The” in order to streamline its corporate moniker. “Over time, our clients have come to call us ‘Jake’, and so we’ve responded with a shorter, simpler version of our brand,” said Anneli Werner, the company’s founder and creative director.

Since the Jake Group and its leadership team will remain the same, many of the existing brand elements will be preserved, including the typeface, colors navy blue and green, and the asterisk brand mark that originally represented a typographical character. However, the new logo includes a modern redesign of the symbol which is more reflective of how the company has evolved over time.

“We are no longer a traditional marketing and communications firm but a fully integrated branding and digital marketing agency, which is why we wanted to honor the legacy of our original brand but still give it a fresh, more modern look,” explained Werner.
